The China Compulsory Certification (CCC) mark is
China
's mandatory quality and safety mark.
The CCC Mark is administered by the Chinese government agency Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA).
The China Quality Certification Center (CQC) is designated by CNCA to process CCC mark applications.
CQC is Chinese National Certified Body (NCB) and the largest CCC designated certification body (DCB).
The CCC Mark, which was introduced on
May 1,2002
, replaced the previous CCIB Mark and CCEE or Great Wall Mark.
Imported products without the CCC marking will be held at the border by the Chinese Customs and subject to penalties.
Effective
August 1, 2003
, products subject to China Compulsory Certification (CCC) cannot be imported into
China
or distributed in
China
without first being certificated in accordance with the CCC requirements.
